Haven't posted anything for a while (now there's an understatement!) but as there is something exciting going on in my life now I thought I'd revive the old blog to keep track of it all.

When we moved up here from Poole to the West Midlands 7 years ago we bought a lovely 4 bedroom 1930's semi detached house  which we fell in love with the first time we went round it and have been very happy ever since. But it has always been a bit of an indulgance as there is just the two of us and the dogs (although we did have the teenage stepson stay with us for a while - what a joy that was!) and it has always been handy having spare bedrooms for visiting children and their offspring.
